Are there anomolies?

Postby LyahFitzpatrick 2E » Mon Oct 25, 2021 8:52 pm

Are there elements in the periodic table (other than the d5 d10 situation) that don't follow the electron configuration setup by row and period? Maybe these lie in the f group we have not talked about much?

Hi,

I don't think we have to know about the f orbital as the professor said we are not really going to use it in this class. I think the group of Cr and Cu is the only exceptions we need to know.

I think the f orbital is also an exception, but we don't need to know electron configuration at that point.
