Trends we need to know

Are the only trends we need to know for 14A Ionic Radii, Electronegativity, Atomic Radius, electron affinity, and Ionization energy??

Another good one is polarization. It increases diagonally, from left to right, across the periodic table.

I think we also need to be familiar with effective nuclear charge which increase from left to right but drops when outer electron occupies a new shell.

We also need to know the trends of nuclear charge and polarization.
