Showing work in detail

How detailed does the dimensional analysis have to be?
For example do we need to write the units for every equation to show how they cancel each other out?

I don't think they have to be too detailed as long as your work is clear and easy to follow. However, I feel like it's better to have a more detailed dimensional analysis so that you can check your own work.

As long as you have the accurate unit for the final answer, it is okay to not write them all down.

It's probably not essential, but it can't hurt to have them on there in case. Its a little bit of an inconvenience but it doesn't make the problem any harder

I would recommend it as it is still correct; however, if you don't have much time, it is probably best that you imply them instead of explicitly adding them to your work.

I think you can just do what's comfortable for you. As long as you show some work that let's the TAs understand your train of thought and get the right answer, you should get full credit.

I would highly recommend using units on each step of your dimensional analysis so you can clearly see the units cancelling out, showing that you did the work correctly. This will help the grader as well as yourself so you are able to explicitly navigate your way to the right units.

You should be fine not including the units for calculations (simply because it consumes too much of your limited time in tests). However, you should include units for every result of calculation so that you and your T.A. can clearly identify where your numbers are coming from
