Test Equation Sheet

Postby Abigail Carter 4G » Sun Oct 06, 2019 1:11 pm

Does anyone know what equations/information will be on the sheet that we get for the tests?

Yes, Lavelle said that there will be all of the constants and basic equations we go over.

My understanding is that we will be provided formulas and maybe info/tips on what units the answers need to be written with and what format the answer needs to be in. Hope this helps!

Yes, I think you guys are correct that we will get the important formulas given to us on the test so we don't have to memorize all of them, but it prob helps to know at least the most important ones just in case.

They include basic equations and unit conversions

My TA actually handed out a copy of equations that Lavelle provides on the test sheet. For Test 1, the only relevant formula is that of Avogadro's constant. I imagine it will be much more helpful for tests later in the year as it includes a lot of fundamental constants and equations from the quantum unit.

The test sheet should include a periodic table with all of the molar masses of the elements as well as formulas and constants that we will need to know for future exams.

Constants such as Planck's Constant and Avogadro's number? And is Angstrom or other prefixes provided as well?

Planck's constant, Avogadro's number, and any other constant will be given. I don't think the prefixes will be available including Angstrom.
