Hi! The question goes like this:
The molar mass of the metal hydroxide M(OH)2 is 74.10g/mol. What is the molar mass of the sulfide of this metal?
Where did the sulfide come from? There's sulfide in M(OH)2???
Finding molar mass of sulfide of metal hydroxide? (E. 15)

Hi! I was confused about this as well for quite a while, but I think the question is asking you to find what the metal is first by subtracting the mass of (OH)2 from the molar mass, then finding what the molar mass of the sulfide of that metal would be (basically the molar mass of MS). Hopefully that makes sense to you :)

ahh that makes a lot more sense bahaha. Thank you so much for the clarification!

Just be sure to remember the metal has a +2 charge and you need 2 sulfides
