Boiling Point

Postby isabella hawthorne 3B » Fri Nov 17, 2023 10:13 pm

Can someone explain why the boiling point is important to understand and figure out, like what exactly does it tells us besides the boiling point?

The boiling point of a molecule can provide information about the strength of the bonds within the molecule. For example, molecules with high boiling points are likely to contain strong bonds such as hydrogen bonding as it requires a great amount of energy for the bond to break.

How can you tell if a molecule is linear or not?
