What is the equation for this, and what is the reason for finding out the Minimum Uncertainty Velocity?

Hi, the equation for the minimum uncertainty of velocity is . We use this equation because for particles with very small masses like electrons can have changes in their position and velocity when light is shined on them to measure these factors. We don't really observe this with large objects, like shining a light on a baseball isn't going to affect its position or velocity.
