I had a question about the last image we saw in lecture, more specifically the quantum mechanical model of the atom. The only thing I understand about the model is that the circular wave around the nucleus represents electrons. Can anyone explain each part of the image and why it is different for allowed energy level/not allowed energy level? I tried to attach an image but I have no idea how to do that either. Any help is appreciated!! (even the steps to attach an image to a post)

I don't fully understand the model either but to attach an image I usually just drag it into the comment box and it attaches the image and at the bottom it shows that it uploaded! Another way is if you scroll past the privacy waiver section there's a tab next to options that says "attachments" where you can add a file.

The picture linked above explains! the wave on the left is allowed b/c it overlaps with itself perfectly while the one on the right isn't b/c the wave is broken
