Electron Energy Levels

Postby Nathan Mariano 2G » Fri Oct 12, 2018 12:30 am

Why are electron energy levels quantized? Why can't electrons exist in between quantized electron energy levels?

I believe that with very small particles such as electrons, it is just a natural occurrence that they must be quantized (for electrons being between energy levels).

In response to your question, quantization just means that the electrons can only take integer values of discrete energy packets. Essentially, electrons separate into whole-number levels because of their own electromagnetic properties.
