Can someone pls explain how the wave model shows that electrons have quantized energy states

It's kind of hard to explain, but I'll try my best.

The quantized energy levels are shown in the wave model because only with specific allowed energies can there be an accurate wave model where the ends of the waves eventually meet. If there's an energy that isn't "allowed", then the ends of the waves don't meet, and the wave is cancelled. The best visualization of this concept would be in lecture where there was a wave model of a circle circumscribed by a wave and the wave had to meet ends to function, but if the wave did not meet ends, then it results in destructive interference and the wave is cancelled.
