Lyman and Balmer Series

Postby Karina Kong 2H » Sun Oct 13, 2019 2:40 pm

I know that the Balmer series is the visible region and that the Lyman series is the UV region, but are there any other differences between them?

No I don't think so, they both apply to Hydrogen and refer to different regions, n=1 and n=2, just like you said.

As you said, there are no other differences than them being in the visible light and UV regions (which also means that they have different wavelengths).
