Re: CO2 vs CS2
CO2 is more ionic because C and O have a greater electronegativity difference than C and S. The greater the electronegativity difference between the atoms in the molecule, the more ionic their character. C and S have around the same electronegativity value, which can be found in Figure 2D.2 in the textbook, meaning their electronegativity difference is going to be low and it is more covalent.

By comparing the electronegativity, you can determine which bond is more ionic. As Lea said. Also distance has an effect on ionic character

Re: CO2 vs CS2
Hey!
Just to add on, it is important to note the periodic trends that we have been going over. When comparing O and S, we can see that O would have a smaller atomic radius. This means that it would have a stronger electronegativity, since its protons can hold on to its electrons better due to less shielding. With this, we can note the electronegativity difference being higher between C and O than C and S. With this, since the electronegativity difference is higher, we can assume that it has more ionic character. I hope this helps!

Re: CO2 vs CS2
Sulfur is less electronegative than oxygen so it puts up "less of a fight" than the oxygens which makes the dipole moments weaker than the CO2
Re: CO2 vs CS2
Would it be that the greater the difference in electronegativity, the more ionic a molecule can be?

Re: CO2 vs CS2
The difference in electro negativity between the carbon and oxygen is greater than it is between the sulfur and carbon
