My question is in 2 parts,
1) Since test 3 covers the remaining sections of chapter 1 and all of chapter 2, is there a preferred homework section that Professor Lavelle would like us to focus on?
2) When is our test date for Test 3?
Thank you.

Re: Test 3 preparation and date [ENDORSED]
The homework is posted on the syllabus under the Quantum World section and it contains problems Ch 2 1, 13, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 33, 37, 39, 41, 43, 45(omit part d), 47, 51, 53, 55, 57, 59, 61, 63, 67, 71, 75, 77, 81, 85, 93.
The testing is found under the link Test and Exam schedule and our test 3 date is next week starting on Tuesday 31 so whenever you have your discussion section that week.

Dr Lavelle would most likely want you to focus on Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle through Periodic trends concepts.
The homework should be on chapter 3.
The test will be on Tuesday, October 31st.

Re: Test 3 preparation and date
For a comprehensive review you can do all the assigned problems for chapter 2 and review chapter 1 problems from section 1.6 onwards. According to the website we will only be tested on information from October 27th and before. The test will be whenever you have your scheduled discussion in the upcoming week.

Re: Test 3 preparation and date
Although it says on the syllabus that the test covers material up to October 27, Test 3 will only focus on the remainder of Chapter 1 (1.6 to the end) and all of chapter 2. You can review the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle on his online modules. The post-assignment module questions are very helpful. Also, I would recommend doing all of the Chapter 2 homework problems.
The test is going to be in your discussion section the week of October 30. The tests start on Tuesday.

Re: Test 3 preparation and date
As test 2 covered the assigned homework problems 3-41 from chapter 1, for test 3 it would probably be a good idea to complete the rest of the assigned problems for chapter 1 as well as the assigned problems for chapter 2. And as mentioned above, the tests are in our discussion sections beginning October 31st.
