Are covalent bonds usually soluble or insoluble in water?

Covalent bonds are usually insoluble to my knowledge. Ionic bonds are the ones that do dissolve readily in water or other fluids.

Compounds with covalent bond do not dissolve but dissolve in other organic solvents. Ionic compounds dissolve in water as the ions dissociate in the presence of H+ and OH- ions in water

One note on this subject that you do not really dissolve bonds because a molecule can be dissolved without its bonds breaking. We usually say that a molecule or ion has become "solvated" if it is dissolved in a particular solvent. When we discuss polarity, it will become more clear as to why certain molecules dissolve in various solvents.
