Help on 3.11

I need help on parts b,c, and d for question 3.11.
3.11: Which M3+ ions (where M is a metal) are predicted to have the following ground-state electron configurations:
b) [Ar]3d^5
c) [Kr]4d^5
d) [Kr]4d^3

For this question I started out by finding the element the given configuration led to. From there since it is a 3+ ion, that meant that 3 electrons were subtracted from the configuration so I added them back which meant first adding back the 2 in the s-orbital and then one in the d-orbital giving the element one before what the given configuration said.
For example b)'s given configuration would give Fe. From there I added the 2 electrons from the s-orbital and adding 1 more in the d-orbital gave Co
