Friday 10/26/18 lecture

Postby Artin Allahverdian 2H » Sun Oct 28, 2018 3:18 pm

Hello, I was absent for Friday’s lecture and I was wondering if anyone could give me a thorough recap of what Dr. Lavelle talked about. Thanks!

He started the next unit and discussed chemical bonds, including covalent and ionic bonds. He gave examples on how to draw Lewis structures for both types of bonds, as well as for polyatomic species

He focused mainly on the differences between ionic and covalent bonds and how they each achieved the octet rule, and also demonstrated how to draw several different Lewis structures.
