Electronegativity values

Will we be given values of electronegativities when asked, for example, to say which compound would have bonds that are primarily ionic?

Most likely, as we do not need to memorize each element's value, but rather the trend across a group and period.

yes, you'll be provided with the electronegativities needed to answer such a question, eventhough you could probably make a pretty accurate guess based on whether the elements are metals/nonmetals and such.

We should be given the electronegativities as we are usually not asked to memorize values.

If it were on a test I'd imagine the electronegativity values would be given to each element listed because between 1.5 to 2 the molecule tends to have some covalent character, and to figure out that precise value some number would be given to us I'd imagine. So I wouldn't worry about it too much but have a general sense of what molecules are covalent and ionic bonds. Ionic bonds are usually salts like KCl, KF, LiF and covalent bonds are molecules such as Hi, HBr, HCl.
