Most Ionic Bond (2.D.3 7th ed)

The textbook states that out of BaBr2, BeBr2, and BBr3, BaBr2 is the most ionic bond. Aside from difference in electronegativity/charge, what indicates that BaBr2 is more ionic than BeBr2?

The most significant difference between Be and Ba is the size. Ba is much further down on the periodic table and has a larger atomic radius. Ba can't hold onto its electrons as tightly as Be because the electrons are so far. This makes Br more likely to take those electrons.
