What is the difference between inter and intra molecular forces?

Intermolecular forces are forces that are responsible for interactions between different individual molecules. Intramolecular forces are the forces that act within a molecule, binding together the atoms that make up a molecule.

I don’t know if this will help you remember the definition but the prefix intra means within, inside, on the inside and the prefix inter means between.
So using that logic intermolecular forces would be forces between molecules and intramolecular forces would mean forces inside the molecule like covalent, polar covalent and ionic bonds.
Hope this helps.

Intermolecular forces consist of hydrogen, vander waal interactions, and dipole-dipole interactions. Intramolecular forces consist mainly of ionic and covalent bonds.

Intra means within, this is one dipole
Intermolecular is between two dipoles that make a bond and can be easily broken.

ClH----ClH

ClH is the intramolecular force

The dashed lines are the intermolecular force

Another example is

H2O-----H2O

Is there a way to memorize the forces in intermolecular and intramolecular forces? Ex: hydrogen and/or vander waal interactions.

Intramolecular forces are the forces that hold atoms together within a molecule.
There are 3 types of intramolecular bonds: covalent, ionic, and metallic.

Intermolecular forces are forces that exist between molecules.
Key intermolecular forces are as follows: Hydrogen bonding > Van der Waals dipole-dipole interactions > Van der Waals dispersion forces.

Inter refers to bonds between multiple atoms/molecules. Intra refers to bonds within a certain molecule.

Intramolecular- within the compound, like ionic and covalent bonding
Intermolecular- with other compounds, such as dipole-dipole, hydrogen, london forces, etc.
