Properties of Metals/Nonmetals/Metalloids

What are the properties of metals, nonmetals, and metalloids? Also which one loses electrons more easily?

Metals are solid, shiny, good conductors, ductile, and malleable. Metals have like to lose electrons because they form ionic bonds and want an octet. Nonmetals are brittle, bad conductors, not ductile, not malleable, and some are liquid. They tend to gain or share electrons. Metalloids have mixed properties between metals and nonmetals as they are semi conductors of electricity.

In addition to the other responds, nonmetals have high ionization energies. They are generally poor conductors of heat and electricity. Solid nonmetals are generally brittle, with little or no metallic luster, and most nonmetals have the ability to gain electrons easily

Nonmetals also tend to have higher electron affinities than do metals. We can see this since Groups 7, 8, and 9 generally form negative charges (additional electrons) while Groups 1 and 2 form positive charges.
