There's 3: polar covalent, non polar covalent, and coordinate covalent.

The 3 types of covalent bonds that we've learned of are polar, non-polar, and coordinate. The first two differ because of electronegativity differences (or lack thereof) between the atoms in the molecule. A coordinate covalent bond is when the an atom in a molecule doesn't have its valence shell filled and another atom with a lone pair donates both electrons to form a covalent bond.

The three types we are responsible for are polar, non polar, and coordinate. Polar and non polar have to do with differences in electro negativity whereas coordinate has to do with filling shells by donating/receiving electrons.

There are 3. A coordinate covalent bond according to the textbook is a bond formed between a Lewis base and a Lewis acid by sharing an electron pair originally belonging to the Lewis base. A polar covalent bond is a covalent bond between atoms that have partial electric charges. A nonpolar covalent bond is a covalent bond between atoms that do not have partial electric charges.

There are three types of covalent bonds: polar, nonpolar, and coordinate. Polar and nonpolar covalent bonds can be distinguished by differences in electronegativities and coordinate covalent bonds involve sharing electrons in order to order fill up shells.
