For this question, I measured their electronegativities on the chart and got the right answer for the increasing polarizing power. Is there a correlation between electronegativity and polarizing power? The answer key said that it had to do with the radius in that the smaller, highly charged cations had greater polarizing power.

Because smaller, highly charged cations (which, due to their lower electronegativity, have lose electrons) have smaller radii, the force of their positively-charged nucleus can better attract electrons, causing their polarizing power to be larger.

They do have similar trends in the periodic table as it relates to this size of the atom
