Homework Problem 2D.3

I'm having some trouble figuring out part c of this problem. The answer key says that BeBr2 does not have bonds that are primarily ionic, however, I do not understand this. Could someone please explain this to me?

2D.3 Which of these compounds has bonds that are primarily ionic? (a) BBr3; (b) BaBr2; (c) BeBr2.

I'm confused about this as well. Maybe the question was asking which had the MOST ionic character?

I'm not entirely sure, but in the 5/6 Sapling homework (I'm thinking of Question 17), the solution explained that though the differences in electronegativity may be large, the molecule's geometry may be "equal in polarity and evenly distributed in space." This is kind of weird, but because of the way the atoms are configured, they may differ in electronegativity but be considered nonpolar because of their symmetry, and therefore BeBr2 would not be considered primarily ionic (at least in bonding?). I may be wrong, so if someone understands this better, please correct me!

So, essentially it is asking which has the most ionic character. Therefore, the one with the highest electronegativity different is the most ionic.
