Drawing Ionic Bonds

How would you draw ionic bonds since the bond is actually electrostatic attraction?

You place each respective atom in brackets, with its respective charge in the upper right corner, along with valence electrons around the atom if there are any. As an example, NaCl would look like [Na]^+ [Cl]^-, and Cl would have 8 electrons around it.
