Sigma & Pi Bond Example Problems

I know what sigma and pi bonds are, but what sort of question would they be relevant for? Would we just be asked about what they are/how to locate them or is there another reason they are relevant that I am missing?

I believe we would just need to know what they are, how to identify them in a given molecule, and how to distinguish between and count the number of each one in a given molecule. It is also notable to be aware of what a pi vs delocalized pi bond is as well as knowing how a sigma bonds can contribute to the geometry of a molecule. Those are mainly the only concepts I seen being assessed that pertain to sigma and pi bonds (although correct me if I'm wrong).
