Double Bond Being Pi+Pi

Postby lizzygaines1D » Tue Dec 05, 2017 3:38 pm

The book that while most times a double bond includes a sigma and pi bond, sometimes it will consist of a pi and pi bond. When does this happen and how are you supposed to know?

From lecture, I remember that it is the triple bond that would consist of 1 sigma bond and 2 pi bonds, which would be the time where there are 2 pi bonds.
