usage of sigma/pi
if we know what bond contains sigma/pi bonds, what are some usage of these bonds? like what can we calculate about the bond/molecule using the number of sigma and pi bonds?

Re: usage of sigma/pi
One usage of the number of sigma and pi bonds is that it can determine the rotation of the molecule/ its rigidity. The more pi bonds a molecule has, the less rotation it will be able to perform.

Re: usage of sigma/pi
By knowing how many sigma and pi bonds there are in a molecule, we can know the strength of the interactions, since sigma bonds are generally stronger than pi bonds. Also, they are the result of overlapping orbitals in hybridization so they can predict the behavior of molecules.

The sigma and pi bonds tells us the strength of the interactions and the behavior of the molecules.

Can the sigma/pi bonds also be used to determine the structure of the molecule?

Sigma and pi bonds can't be used to determine the structure of a molecule since they do not affect shape or structure.
