### Sigma and Pi bonds

Does anyone have an idea of how they would ask us about sigma and pi bond on our test?

I think they will just ask us to identify how many sigma or pi bonds there are in a molecule.

They might also ask us about the differences between the two types of bonds.

Qualitative differences prob. Maybe why a double bond isn't twice as strong as a single bond, because Pie bond is weaker than Sigma bond.

They could also ask us to label all existing bonds in a molecule. For example, in $CH_{4}$ we would label the bond $\sigma$(C2$sp^{3}$, H1s).

Most likely nothing computational as we don't know enough to do that, I would assume just labeling would work
