Sigma vs pi bond

What is the difference between a sigma bond and a pi bond? Also, what does it mean that a pi bond is unhybridized?

Sigma bonds are formed by end-to-end overlapping of atomic orbitals; pi bonds are formed when the lobe of one atomic orbital overlaps another.

Sigma bonds are the first bond that forms between two atoms, while any subsequent bonds that form are classified as π bonds.

Only p orbitals can form π bonds and σ bonds are formed by the overlap of atomic orbitals over the internuclear axis. π bonds are oriented perpendicularly to the internuclear axis.

S and P orbitals can form different hybridizations,
s + p → sp
s + p + p → sp²
s + p + p + p → sp³

Overlapping hybridized orbitals form a σ bond
