So you can tell if the lewis structure has the correct arrangement of atoms and bonds by checking the valence electrons present in your structure compared to the compound or such, by checking the octet rule of your placement, and checking the bonds formed. Specifically, if the atom in the center hasn't reached an octet, maybe try a double or triple bond instead of a single bond. Hope this helps!
