Cations and Anions

In Lewis structure is it possible to show an element or molecule with the loss or gain of an electron?

Yes, it is possible the lewis structure would be placed in brackets with the correct cation or anion.

This should help:

"By convention, the cation goes before the anion in a formula. Write out the Lewis structure of each atom or ion separately. Very electropositive metals usually lose electrons and form cations. ... Use valence electrons to make 2-electron bonds to connect the atoms in the structure." ... 5141677621

yes usually lewis structures will have a charge outside of the brackets

Dr.Lavelle mentioned in class that you don't have to show (with Lewis structures) which electrons were lost/gained and simply put the charge outside the brackets.
