Naming compounds

Do we need to know how to name compounds and understand the structure of compounds based on their names for test 3 for drawing Lewis structures? Thanks.

Unless the molecule is a common molecule like water, molecular formulas will be given in addition to the name of the molecule.

A couple TA's have suggested memorizing common polyatomic ions, not for the test/exams but just for the future! They are really helpful with naming!
