Lewis Structures in Ionic Bonds

Do we need to know how to draw Lewis Structures for compounds bonded with ionic bonds?

yes, we did an example in class of the ionic compound Potassium Chloride

Yes we do, make sure to know the number of valence electrons of each group, and you can do that by just looking at the periodic table.
