Will we need to know Lewis Acid and Bases for the midterm? And if so can some please explain the concept to me, thank you.

Yes, Dr. Lavelle stated that we would need to know Lewis Acids and Bases for the midterm. Basically, a Lewis Acid accepts pairs of electrons and a Lewis Base will donate. You would have to figure out the Lewis Dot structure in order to choose between a Lewis Acid or Base.

Lewis structures and Lewis acids and bases will be on the midterm. All the material that we covered in lecture, up to and including the lecture on Wednesday, October 31, will be on the midterm!
