Expanded octets? + other octet exceptions

Hi! Which elements follow the expanded octet structures, and what are the other octet exceptions that we have to know?

Everything including Al and afterwards can have an expanded octet since they can access the 4s and 3d orbitals.

Hydrogen and Helium also only need 2 electrons to satisfy their valence shells

At the 4:30 review session, the TA mentioned that S, P, and Cl are exceptions and can have expanded octets.
