Lewis Structure of Ions
To clarify, do I need to bracket the Lewis Structure of an ion and note the ion's charge in the top right corner outside of the bracket?

Yes, the brackets are placed around the entire structure with the charge in the corner to show the whole molecule's charge.

Yes you need to show whether it's a cation or anion and how many electrons it gained of lost. You also need to that into account when your are drawing the lewis structure.

Yes, you need the brackets to indicate the charge of the ion.
Completely unrelated, but does anyone know what the Midterm covers up to?

Yes make sure you place the bracket, however Dr. Lavelle stated in class that the placement of the charge whether its inside or outside the brackets does not matter.
