Good video! One small point to clarify: in the ethylene example, each carbon atom in theory could accommodate another lone pair, giving each carbon an octet. The reason that can't be done is because then the molecule would have 14 electrons while there were only 12 to work with in the first place. That's why a double bond was necessary.
