Re: Achieve Homework #3, Question #4
Hey! Consider switching up the location of the double bond. There are 2 other places where it can be located.
U got this :)

Re: Achieve Homework #3, Question #4
Focus on the bonds that carbon can make with surrounding elements. If you switch the double bond to the other two elements that carbon is bonded with, you will get two new Lewis structures that exemplify resonance. Don't forget to include the new charges by finding the formal charge of each element!

Re: Achieve Homework #3, Question #4
My reasoning for this question was that the double bond is attached to C, so the only other two places it could be placed would be on the other O and the C-N bond. So for putting the double bond on the other oxygen, it would have a formal charge of -1 and for the Nitrogen double bond, N would have a formal charge of +1 and both oxygens would have -1, found using the formal charge formula

Re: Achieve Homework #3, Question #4
Changing the location of the double bond on the carbon to the 2 other elements attached to the carbon is bonded to should give you the other two resonance structures.

I am also very confuse on this one, The double bond is connect to one of the O with the 4 Lewi dot, but I am have some trouble figuring out the charges for each one
