How do resonance structures affect the stability of a molecule?

Because multiple resonance structures enable the delocalization process, more resonance structures make molecules more stable.

They make them more stable.
Because the delocalization of electrons is involved in resonance structures, they move to lower energy states which are associated with greater stability.
