Delocalization

Why does the delocalization of electrons lead to a more stable molecule?

The delocalization of electrons leads to a more stable molecule because the electronegativity isn't localized in one specific area. If it was localized in one area, there will be more electron repulsion making it unstable.

Delocalization of electrons makes a molecule more stable because the negative charge isn't stuck to one side of the molecule. You can think about it as "balancing" the molecule, in a way.
