Radicals importance

Postby BriannaParrington-1B » Sun May 27, 2018 10:40 pm

Is there anything in particular that we must know about radicals other than how to identify them?

Radicals are generally unstable and don't really occur in nature.

The way to identify a radical would be if the molecule has an uneven number of electrons and at least one unpaired electron

Radicals are common biproducts of bodily functions. Antioxidants react with radicals to stop them from damaging the body.

So basically, radicals are very reactive because their solo electron/s really want/s to find a partner.
