Determining the number of resonance structures

Postby Kyle_Diep_4E » Fri Oct 16, 2015 5:01 pm

Is there a way that we can know how many resonance structures a compound has or do we have to exhaust every possibility every time?

There's no way of knowing until you draw out the Lewis structure and look at the possibilities.
