On Sapling #17 (Draw the three possible structures of C3H4), why are the three structures not resonance of one another? Do they not contribute equally to chemical bonding?

The 3 possible structures of C3H4 include one ring structure and two linear structures. Since all three of these have different atom connectivities, we cannot say they are resonance structures of each other.

If you draw out the three models, there is no way to switch around bond type between any of the atoms on this molecule, so there are not any resonance structures.

All three structures don't have resonance because they are each different shapes that occur naturally, so they can't be combined to make a hybrid.

Resonance structures are structures that are structurally similar, usually just multiple options. An example is CO3 2-, all similarly structured but with different spots for the double bond. In question 17, they all have the same molecular formula but have different structures so they aren't resonance. They're actually isomers.
