Do we not need to know oxidation numbers for this class?

It seems like all we need to know is formal charge? Is it worth it to go back and learn oxidation numbers?

Hello,
When I asked a UA last week they said we do not need to know oxidation numbers yet, maybe in the future we will discuss them. Hope this helped.

As of right now we haven't covered oxidation numbers! It may be in a different class of the chem series.
