Oxidization Numbers
So I know it was mentioned he was going to go over oxidization number in today's (Wednesday) lecture which is the last lecture for midterm 2. But I don't think he covered it. Is oxidization number something we have to know for the midterm? I am wondering because there was a sapling homework question on it.

Re: Oxidization Numbers
It’s not explicity stated on outline 3 but I’m assuming it’s something we should take time to review and know seeing as some sapling questions mentioned it.

Re: Oxidization Numbers
Midterm 2 covers the last 8 bullets of Outline 2 and the entirety of Outline 3 according to Dr. Lavelle's website.
Re: Oxidization Numbers
I was also kind of confused when I saw that it was in sapling as well. I would just review and look over it before the midterm just in case. It wouldn't hurt.

Re: Oxidization Numbers
I was wondering the same thing. The sapling homework had a link to a short guide on oxidation numbers and I thought that was pretty helpful.

If you are unsure or questioning something, you should probably learn it just to be safe. Better to know more than less. Good luck!

Re: Oxidization Numbers
I don’t remember Lavelle going over oxidation numbers either, however, I saw a question regarding oxidation numbers on Sapling so I would assume we need to know the basics?

I don't think that we went over this in lectures, but as there is a homework question I assume that we need to know the basics. The link below really helped me!
