I attached a screenshot from the textbook of a helpful list of oxidation rules for calculating oxidation numbers! hope it helps!

Thank you so much for this! I know that when I was doing Sapling there was part of a question asking about oxidation numbers which kind of threw me off, but now I can go back and try it out

There is also a link to this page in the textbook attached to the Sapling problem that discusses oxidation numbers.

one of the LA mentioned that oxidation states will not be tested. I think we just need to have a general understanding of them
