For I3-
Since iodine can expand its octet using the 5d subshell, Iodine can bond with more than 1 atom.
Let's start with calculating the valence electrons...
7 valence of iondine X 3 atoms + 1 electron from charge = 22 electron

Thus, the central iodine would be single bonded to the other two iodine. once you add the 3 lone pairs to each of the terminal iodine atoms and two to the middle atom to complete its octet, notice that the valence electrons only add up to 20. you then add the two remaining electrons to the central iodine as it has an expanded octet to accommodate the lone pair.
So it should be 3 lone pairs and 2 bonds for central iodine. and 3 lone pairs + 1 single bond for terminal iodine atoms
