Lewis acids are electron acceptors, so SO3 will accept electrons

SO3 is a lewis acid, because it accepts electrons, instead of donating electrons.

HI there,
Because SO3 is bonded to three oxygens, it forms three double bonds with them. All electrons are accounted for, and the formal charges are zero, but the sulfur atom is not in octet. This means that it is able to accept electrons in order to fully fill its 3p orbitals. Hope this helps!
