Can someone explain to me why Li+ has higher polarizability than Ca2+?

Hey there,
So in this case, you have a comparison that deviates from the general trend of polarizability. It increases as you go down and left, similar to the atomic radius trend. When looking at polarizability, the charge on the atom can have a great effect on the trend, as it does in this case. Although Ca is further down on the period table, because it has a 2+ charge as opposed to Li's + charge, this gives it less polarizability. When looking polarizing power, size also plays a key factor and can cause the answer to deviate from the trend. I hope this helps.
