Electronegativity vs Electron Affinity

My TA tried to explain to us today about the difference, but it was hard to understand with the given definitions. Can someone explain the difference better and give an example comparing two elements?

Electron affinity measures the amount of energy released when an electron is added to that element. Electronegativity, on the other hand, measures the ability for an element to attract electrons in a covalent bond (a bond where electrons are shared, rather than transferred). If electronegativity is higher in one element over another when they are sharing electrons, then electrons will be shared unevenly because the elements have different electronegativity values. Electron affinity and electronegativity are highest in the upper right hand side of the periodic table. Hope this helps!
